Record the YouTube videos
Now Blip is also playing YouTube videos you can save these vids to your hard disk using Replay Media Catcher. The trial version offers free unlimited downloading of YouTube videos.
Convert YouTube videos to MP3
Replay Media Catcher is also able to convert the video to an MP3 file, so you can just put the audio on your portable player.
Click Tools -> Extract MP3 from FLV open the FLV and save it as MP3 and your done!
iMeem tracks
A part of the Blip catalogue is provided by iMeem. These tracks
are in the FLV format. You will recognize iMeem tracks by the small
iMeem player appearing in the side bar. (Firefox only)
To download these streams with Replay Media Catcher you need tot activate the Webstream dumper plug-in. Go to Settings, uncheck Capture HTTP Media Streams and check Web Stream Dumper.

Once the FLV file is saved you can easily convert it to MP3 with the built-in audio convertor.
Note:
Replay Music will record iMeem tracks as MP3 automatically. You
don't need to adjust the settings.
Blipster
If you use Blip.fm from outside the US you will have come across blips that only produce a 30 second preview of the song. This happens with tracks provided by iMeem.
In the search results on the Blip.fm website you can not tell if the track
originates from the iMeem catalogue. The desk top client Blipster
however shows this and helps you to recognize/avoid iMeem tracks.
Tip!
Blipster has a somewhat hidden feature that can be very handy for
recording songs.
Clicking the Next button at the very bottom of the Blipster client will produce the playlist of the station you are listening to.
Click Unlock Playlist and you can delete songs you don't want to record.
Once you have cleaned your playlist leave Replay Music or Replay Media Catcher running and your playlist will be recorded for offline use.
Trick for 30 seconds preview tracks
There is a simple trick to still be able to listen and or
download the full version of these songs. Download and install
Hotspot Shield. This tool is meant for securing your internet
connection but it will also hide your real IP address and replace it
with an US address. Disguised as an American you will gain access
to the full version.
Hotspot Shield may come in handy for other services that are restricted to the US.
Close your browser and start Hotspot Shield. You browser will restart and Hotspot Shield will assign you a new IP address. Once you are connected a search engine will appear. Please use this, it helps to keep Hotspot Shield free. Then browse to the now 'freed' Blip.fm. Hotspot Shield places ads at the top of every page, that's about the only drawback.
